The Honda Clarity Fuel Cell sedan ( earlier post ) made its North American debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show as Honda announced additional details for the vehicle’s entry into the US market. The Clarity Fuel Cell will be available in black, white and signature red exterior paint schemes.

Hyundai introduced its refreshed IONIQ car lineup in a North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Introduced in 2016, IONIQ was planned from the start to offer three electrified powertrains: hybrid, plug-in hybrid and full electric. kWh battery with 36% more energy capacity.

A few days ago the carmaker had taken its Kia EV9 concept (an all-electric SUV) to the Los Angeles auto show to display. The all-new Niro is the upgraded version of the model first released in 2016. The automaker had teased the Kia Niro and displayed it at the Seoul Mobility Show on November 25.

Auto Show, Honda said that it will begin retail leasing of the new 5-passenger, hydrogen-powered Clarity Fuel Cell sedan ( earlier post ) to customers in select California markets before the end of 2016. At Washington, D.C. Honda expects to price the Clarity Fuel Cell at around $60,000 with a targeted monthly lease under $500.

The Mirai has had only a little competition Along with the Mirai, the Hyundai Nexo FCEV (and its predecessor, the Hyundai Tucson FCEV ) has been on sale in California since around 2016 and makes-up a part of the total 18,025 FCEVs sold in California. Connectivity is through multiple USB-C ports. Hands-free telephone is through Bluetooth.
