Clean Energy Fuels delivered 143M gallons of Redeem renewable natural gas in 2019, up 30% year-on-year

Redeem was the first commercially available RNG vehicle fuel, derived from capturing biogenic methane that is produced from the decomposition of organic waste from dairies, landfills, and wastewater treatment plants. In 2015, the City built a private CNG fueling station and started converting its fleet of 70 refuse trucks.

Aeromexico flying commercial route with 15% blend of Honeywell Green Jet Fuel

Aeromexico is using a 15% blend of Honeywell Green Jet Fuel, produced from camelina using process technology from Honeywell’s UOP, on flights on its Mexico City to San Jose, Costa Rica route, marking one of the first uses of renewable fuels in everyday airplane passenger service.

California Energy Commission awards $9.6M to 8 projects on electric vehicles, natural gas and biofuels

Along with the Energy Commission grant, Mission Motor Company will provide match funding of $623,581 to create an assembly facility in downtown San Francisco that should be capable of producing 30,000 battery packs and motor control systems each year by 2015, creating as many as 100 jobs.
