Li-ion accounted for 419 MW and 1,555 MWh of proposed storage systems in 2014. LFP, NMC are the leading Li-ion cathodes.

Audi presented a range of its ongoing work on electromobility and efficiency—from fuels and systems to full vehicles—under the “Future Performance Days 2015” banner. The lithium-ion battery comprises 168 prismatic cells and is liquid-cooled. A first test setup located near Ingolstadt recently started supplying the grid.
