Mack to begin production of DME-powered vehicles in 2015

Volvo Car led CO2 reductions among European automakers in 2010 due partly to diesel success

The sixth annual analysis conducted by T&E, the European Federation for Transport and Environment, of new car CO 2 emissions in Europe ( 2011 Cars & CO 2 Report: How clean are Europe’s cars ) found that Volvo Car Corporation led the pack with a CO 2 reduction of 9%. Volvo is ranked tenth by this criteria, with an 8% gap.

California approves sale of DME as compression-ignition engine fuel

The regulation was proposed on 25 July 2014; it was approved and filed with the Secretary of State, with an effective date of 1 January 2015. Volvo Trucks is continuing to invest in DME because it delivers diesel-like performance with propane-like handling and will provide a faster ROI for truck customers than other alternative fuels.
