Audi of America is introducing four new TDI clean diesel models for the US market at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The flagship of the Audi brand, the A8 TDI, achieves a manufacturer estimated fuel efficiency of 24 mpg (9.8 l/100km) in the city and 36 mpg (6.5 l/100km) on the highway.

The refreshed 2014 Honda Civic HF was revealed yesterday at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, featuring both an upgraded powertrain and improved fuel economy. Like all 2014 Civic sedans, the HF gets a new continuously-variable transmission (CVT), which replaces the 2013 model''s five-speed automatic.

Lexus recently displayed its updated CT 200h compact luxury hybrid at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and now full details of the refreshed model have landed. It''s disappointing news for anyone hoping for efficiency improvements though, as the 2014 CT 200h features identical economy to the 2013 model.
