It will appear in Europe next year as the Opel Ampera and in Australia as the Holden Volt in 2012. They leased a few (at a loss) to those that could afford it. Hybrids are a proven winner, but a series-hybrid (range extended EV), such as the Volt takes things to a much higher level with existing and "mostly" affordable tech.
