The Fit EV battery can be recharged in less than 3 hours from a low charge indicator illumination point with its 6.6 Mitsubishi i-MiEV. Ford Focus Electric. Nissan Leaf. kW, 32A on-board charger and a 240-volt circuit. While in Econ mode, practical driving range can increase by as much as 17% compared to driving in Normal mode.

While the selection of hybrid models in the US has more than doubled since 2007, only 35% of hybrid vehicle owners choose to purchase a hybrid again when returning to market in 2011, according to recent analysis by Polk. Hybrid loyalty rates in the top 15 markets in which a minimum of 500 hybrid owners returned to market in 2011.

The MY14 B-Class Electric Vehicle will be available beginning in mid-July to dealers in California; Connecticut; Maine; Maryland; Massachusetts; New Jersey; New York; Oregon; Rhode Island; and Vermont. Bob Lutz, the outgoing vice chairman of GM, has said the company will produce about 8,000 Chevy Volts in 2011.
