Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, posted the picture of a red Model Y on his Twitter along with his team, announcing the one-millionth car on March 9th, it took the company only 12 years to reach the mark since it produced its first car back in 2008. Initially, Tesla was handled by Eberhard and Tarpenning, before it was handed over to Musk in 2008.

Would it be wrong if I said that the history of the automobile industry has been divided into two parts, before Tesla and after Tesla , some might argue that I understand? In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. Beginning in 2005, we excerpted individual statements of intentions by carmakers, but by the start of 2008, the number of comments became too numerous for us to track. Batteries not ready.

They leased a few (at a loss) to those that could afford it. Posted by: Green Chambers | Apr 14, 2009 12:25:03 AM Battery tech is still not advanced or reliable enough for an affordable pure EV, hydrogen fuel cells like in the FCX Clarity may be the clean future, but there are too many technical and infrastructure hurdles to overcome.
