At that point, we expect the aftermarket companies prices to have come down sufficiently so that their conversions will be attractive to owners of hundreds of thousands of hybrids already on the road. The easiest conversions are for 2004-2008 Prius (not 2001-2003 Prius) and the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner Hybrid.

Or Cell phone companies agreeing on all cellphone using a mini-usb plug. In May 2000, Austin Energy planned to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by 40% at its Decker and Holly power plants, from 1700 tons per year to less than 1000tpy by 2003. This would be like all laptop makers agreeing on the same plug to fit in all laptops.

Zytek (a UK based company) make the motor and drivetrain for it. Theres a company in Guernsey (a UK island) which does conversions (the Mk1 shape), but I want a current shape model and a 60 mile range is just fine. This must be some kind of private venture. There are already about 300 of them being leased on a trial basis.

A troubled company. As a long time Mopar fan, seeing this company go under will hurt. Side mirrors and a tiny tunnel of light for the rearview mirror to see through simply are not enough, and did nothing to make driving this expensive prototype easy with Detroit drivers all around. Small size. New technology.
