Nissan is reviewing its long-term carbon dioxide (CO2) emission targets and according to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) global CO2 concentration in the atmosphere should be stablised below 450ppm. Now it will introduce a clean-diesel engine into the Japanese market in spring 2010.

Nissan estimates—based on the findings of AR4—that the CO 2 emissions of all new vehicles in 2050 would need to be reduced by 90% compared to the 2000 level. I imagine there will be tax incentives to build green generators when were at that stage. In May 2000, Austin Energy planned to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by 40% at its Decker and Holly power plants, from 1700 tons per year to less than 1000tpy by 2003. However, I dont welcome this news. excluding coal power in china.

Engineering proptypes enjoy a tax break. Companies can not sell engineering prototypes in which the company got R&D tax breaks in developing the product.
