Algae.Tec to form JV in China for algae for renewable transportation fuels and carbon capture facility; raising A$5M

The facility will be purely focused on algae for the production of transport fuels. Last month Algae.Tec signed a biofuels MOU with the European airline Lufthansa, and announced a biofuels production and carbon capture deal with the Sri Lanka subsidiary of industrial giant Holcim, the world’s largest cement and building materials company.

Exide and Leclanché launch Li-ion battery JV in India

The JV will focus on e-transport, on stationary energy storage systems and speciality storage markets. In e-transport, the target segment is fleet vehicles including e-buses, e-wheelers and e-rickshaws. Exide also has manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka and does business globally through its subsidiaries and international affiliates.
