petrol engine is not running. There is a 12-volt battery in the trunk of the car responsible for supplying electricity for the car to start. There is an onboard diagnostics program on the Prius in which we can check the charge of the 12 volt battery when starting up. 11 volts, we can look for a new battery.

With two Electric cars, at the time a Nissan Lean and Mitsubishi Outlander, we use a considerable amount of electricity but not much petrol, so already we were a reasonable way down the less CO2 road. The standard unit of electrical power is the watt, which is defined as a current of one ampere, at a voltage of one volt.

It ispleasingly quick but will still only manage 150 miles between charges, muchless than a tank of petrol, even if it costs only £1.50 Matt Gentry, Aransas Pass , Tx, United States Instead of wasting time and money on an obvious SPIN Idea the government should put money into R&D. to charge overnight.

Vancouvers trolley bus fleet operates at 600 volts and god knows how many amps. So much more convenient than having to take time out of my day and go out of my way (wasting more energy) to get a charge elsewhere or do battery swaps. No single vehicle does it all even in todays petrol world. that my day to day car cant solve.
