Peter Roach, Birmingham, UK Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries powered the late GM EV1 and still power hundreds of Toyota RAV4 EVs, some over 100,000 miles. So the car uses an electrical store to power the drive motor. Why does everybody state Tesla as US, When this is UK engineering from Norfolk in Great Britian?
