The BMW Group broke ground for a new high-voltage battery assembly plant in Woodruff, South Carolina. Intelligent LED lighting with motion detectors and an efficient dimming strategy reduce energy consumption and light emissions to a minimum. The high-voltage battery assembly basically requires no water.

Designed and engineered at Bridgestone’s Americas Technology Center in Akron, Ohio, the new tires were produced at the company’s Aiken County Passenger/Light Truck Radial Tire Plant in Graniteville, South Carolina. The company is targeting commercial production of guayule-derived natural rubber by the end of the decade.
