Fisker Automotive will debut the first factory-built Karma plug-in hybrid (PHEV) at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Fisker Automotive introduced the Karma as a concept in January 2008. The 300 kW (403 hp/408 PS) Karma reaches 100 km/h in 5.9 100 km (100 mpg) and emissions of 83 g/km, according to the company.

The Fisker Karma Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) ( earlier post ) will make its public driving debut during the Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races on 15 August, 19 months after being unveiled as a concept car. The Fisker Karma will also be on display at Concorso Italiano on 14 August, alongside the Karma Sunset hardtop convertible concept.

Today, if the news cycle cooperates, ABC News will air a segment on its Nightline program that looks at Fisker Automotive--makers of the 2012 Karma plug-in luxury sport sedan--and the low-interest loans it and Tesla Motors have been granted by the U.S. Department of Energy.
