The first phase would involve installing 27 charging sites along I-5 at 50-mile intervals for medium-duty electric vehicles, such as delivery vans, by 2025. A recent study also indicates that increases in particulate pollution is associated with higher death rates among COVID-19 patients. HDR completed the study.

To date, $9.3 billion in cap-and-trade proceeds has been appropriated to 20 state agencies that have distributed $3.4 billion from other sources.

The California Energy Commission (CEC) approved funding of $23,110,015 for projects that will advance the development of green fuels, and the installation of fueling stations. The award recipients are: Clean World Partners, LLC , will receive $6 million to increase the Sacramento BioRefinery’s capacity from 25 tons to 100 tons a day.

The program includes the installation of 10 alternative fuel refueling sites (two B20, one Electric Recharging, and seven CNG). The project will deploy 554 alternative fuel and hybrid electric vehicles and install 153 alternative fueling and electric vehicle charging stations throughout the Chicago region. Total DOE award: $15,000,000.
