This includes unlimited free hydrogen refueling in the area, and free maintenance. When we spoke with customers about fuel cell vehicles, many wondered about the cost of hydrogen. Availability of the Tucson Fuel Cell will expand to other regions consistent with the accelerating deployment of hydrogen refueling stations.

Finally, BMW showcased a hydrogen fuel cell drive system as a future-focused variant of BMW eDrive (teased in a technical session during April’s SAE World Congress in Detroit) enabling all-electric driving with a high operating range and short refueling times. Five Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell models ( earlier post ) are joining the London Hydrogen Network Expansion (LNHE) project. The LHNE project, a government-backed initiative co-funded by the Technology Strategy Board, will put hydrogen-fueled vehicles into daily business use and deliver the refueling infrastructure to support their operation.

The new F800 Style is a five-seat upper-range sedan featuring an all-new multi drive platform suited for a hydrogen fuel cell electric drive with a range of almost 600 kilometers (373 miles) as well as the a plug-in hybrid drive with a 30 km (19 mile) all-electric range. s, and the vehicle has a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

The battery can be recharged by plugging the car into any electrical socket and allows the Prius to run entirely on electricity for speeds up to 34 miles per hour. But the new rules could make it virtually impossible for current Prius owners to transform their cars into super-efficient vehicles that get up to 150 mpg.
