Japanese automaker Honda is considering locations to build an electric vehicle (EV) factory in Canada featuring the use of in-house battery cells. Honda would be aiming to have the facility operational by 2028, and the company is planning to decide on a specific location by the end of this year. million sales per year by 2030.

For my own recent test, a mere 150-kW EA charger at a Target in New Jersey had to suffice. The 1,315-kg (2,900-pound) battery aboard has a lot to do with that, saddling the Hummer with more weight than an entire base-model Honda Civic. And its electron-huffing 47 MPGe rating is the lowest of any EV sold in the United States.
