As of 2018, Audi Brussels will produce exclusively the commercial version of Audi’s e-tron quattro battery-electric SUV ( earlier post ). The site in Belgium will thus become a key plant for electric mobility at the Volkswagen Group. The Audi Q3, currently produced in Spain, will be built in Győr (Hungary) in the future.

The first Audi Q8 e-tron drove off the production line at the Brussels plant yesterday, 14 December, marking the beginning of an era for the new top model in Audi’s electric SUV range. The battery assembly facility in Brussels is playing a groundbreaking role for the entire Group. The site switched to green power back in 2012.

NIO also confirmed that pre-orders for its EL7, a mid-large smart electric SUV, and the ET5, its mid-size smart electric sedan, are open now, with deliveries set to start in January and March 2023, respectively.
