A convoy of 60 vehicles hit the streets as part of the BBC documentary Electric Ride which is now a quarter of the way through its month long, 4,000 miles odyssey around Europe in a Think City electric car.

It’s the Electric Motor Show this weekend in Helsinki, and a whole host of innovative electric cars will be on display at the Exhibition & Convention Centre in the Finnish capital. Among the exhibitors will be Think, the Norwegian electric vehicle will be making its Finnish motor show debut with its Think City electric car.

When Nissan unveiled its new LEAF as the first real-world electric car, it was unlikely to sit well with existing electric car manufacturers. EnerDel is scheduled to ship its first cells and packs for the Think City EV on 1 March 2010. The lithium-ion version of the THINK vehicle will have 384 cells in its 25 kWh battery pack and a range of more than 100 miles.
