The California Energy Commission approved a first-in-the-nation energy efficiency standard that will reduce wasted energy by battery chargers commonly used to power cell phones, laptop computers, power tools, and other devices. Energy consumed to charge batteries is increasing in California.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. We should have built more Nuclear power plants and created a nuclear waste recycling program. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart.
