Capitol Hill made for a strange sight earlier this week as it was surrounded by everything from two-seat sports cars to vehicles that resembled golf carts and bucket trucks. General Motors was among them with the line of Volt cars seen as the future for the company.

They are either glorified golf cart city cars like this one or they are only for the very wealthy like the Tesla. Today we could be using lead-acid EVs, lead-carbon-acid EVs, or nickel metal hydride or lithium-ion hybrids. Glad to see the variety & availability of electic commuter cars (vs hybrids & PHEV) is rising.

" In other words, General Motors is going to lose its shirt until the Volt establishes itself in the marketplace. It also offers eight hybrid models. General Motors has sought $10.3 Volt like hybrids are the intermediate future between hydrogen or fast charging electric cars. Thats short-sighted.
