The staff of the California Air Resources Board has posted six new applications for pathways for the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS), two of which are from Neste Oil for renewable diesel (RD) produced at its plant in Singapore from (a) North American tallow and (b) Southeast Asian fish oil. Among them are two proposed pathways from Neste for the production of renewable diesel at its Singapore refinery, using corn oil from the US midwest as feedstock. Neste Singapore Pte Ltd. There it displaces natural gas that would otherwise have been consumed as both a process fuel and a feedstock at the steam-methane reformer.

Methes Energies Canada produces biodiesel from Used Cooking Oil (UCO) and Corn Oil (CO) in a biodiesel plant in Sombra, Ontario, Canada. Among the new pathways to be considered is the production of renewable diesel from Australian tallow at Neste Oil’s Singapore plant.
