Other than Vectrix electric motorcycles which have a DAaRT (Deceleration, Acceleration and Regenerative Throttle) system , the only vehicles I know that have phenomenal accelerator based regen are those equipped with AC Propulsion’s fabulous AC150gen2 electric drive system. Weve kept the summary table below generally up-to-date for passenger PHEVs, but not for BEVs, motorcycles or larger vehicles like buses and trucks. Volvo Ford-owned company exploring PHEVs "ReCharge" flex-fuel series 60-mile concept PHEV w/wheel motors. In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China.

Sure beats Detroit, same old, same old gas buggy, and anothe Purple PLUM, whoops PUMA, two wheel, or is 4wheel, kiddy car. If youre a stickler for electric vehicles, there is an electric scooter that will travel up to 60 miles and can be recharged in 3 hours. Theyre called bicycles, scooters and motorcycles. The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles.
