Better Place is building stations in San Francisco, Hawaii, Israel, and Denmark to swap out 1,000 pound batteries in a car wash type set up. The Renault-Nissan Alliance is building fleet charging stations in Portland and Phoenix. The electricity for recharging has to come from somewhere, which means power plants.

Please feel free to tell us what you believe to be the benefits of some of the various recharging modes mentioned above in the comments section below. Vancouvers trolley bus fleet operates at 600 volts and god knows how many amps. Must you say "incredibly idiotic" and "mind numbingly dumb"? It does not reflect well upon you.
