In late April 2015, Geely Auto deployed a first-of-its-kind fleet of 150 methanol-fueled taxis in the southern Chinese city of Guiyang in cooperation with the municipal government. The company is proactively working with partners across China to expand the use of methanol-fueled vehicles.

Wireless charging is nothing new— Charged has covered wireless EV charging since at least 2011—but it may be that its true value is only coming into focus now, as more and more commercial and transit fleets are electrifying. We could take an Oslo taxi and charge it in a bus terminal in Wenatchee, Washington or vice versa.

The LEVC electric taxi might still be the only EV that both designed *and* produced on UK’s home turf. I finally got hold of reported total bus fleets and bus replacement rates in Europe. Volvo Bus also started delivering a couple hundred BEV buses, headlined by a huge order from Gothenburg. E-buses were deployed.
