Chassis dynamometer emission testing conducted on 30 in-use Indian auto-rickshaws—two-stroke and four-stroke CNG-fueled (CNG-2S and CNG-4S) and four-stroke gasoline-fueled (PET-4S)—found that global warming commitment (GWC) associated with emissions from CNG-2S was more than twice that from CNG-4S or PET-4S, due mostly to CH 4 emissions.

The US Postal Service (USPS) will conduct a one-for-one replacement of 6,500 vehicles with 1,000 E-85 ethanol-capable and 900 gasoline/electric hybrid vehicles to its delivery fleet, part of a vehicle purchase by the US General Services Administration (GSA).

An unusual entrant into the EV arena, Aptera , a three-wheeled futuristic electric car, continues to stir excitement, and would appear to be more than science fiction. Smart has begun testing a small electric fleet in England. Audi here and BMW here are reported to be taking another look at all-electrics.
