One thing is for sure; - electric cars bring down the air pollution, but they sure create another waste pollution problem. I mean, when the electricity it uses is produces, pollution still happens, just not "right from your car"? Each of the aforementioned “primary energy sources&# generates carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases plus other pollutants coming from the contaminants or byproducts of using these “primary energy sources&#. Wind, solar and nuclear could easily change our electrical sources. Build the damn cars and watch us change our habits.

If our country is going to spend money like a drunk sailor we should have spent it on building renewable energy power plants like Wind and Geothermal. Denmark did that with Wind Power and now most of their energy comes from wind rather than oil, natural gas, or coal. We are facing a big problem with global warming.
