Ford announced that it will reveal the new battery-electric F-150 Lightning pickup—a revival of the name of the old Ford SVT Lightning performance truck—in 19 May in a livestreamed event at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn. Now comes the F-150 Lightning. The reveal takes place at 9:30 p.m.

In a statement about Ford’s next EV, the F-150 Lightning, Farley gave a nod to several key vehicles that paved the way for the all-electric truck. Now comes the F-150 Lightning. As per Ford, the Lightning will have a dual motor setup that would produce more torque and more horsepower than any existing F-150.

Vietnamese EV startup VinFast has revealed its VF Wild mid-sized ute concept at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. At the reveal no details were shared about battery size, powertrain, range, cost or potential production timing. The VF Wild was penned by GoMotiv , an independent design studio in Melbourne.

Ford said this morning that it has pushed its BlueCruise hands-free highway driving capability to an additional 50,000 F-150 and Mustang Mach-E vehicles. “Nearly 15,000 2021 F-150 and Mustang Mach-E customers already completed the BlueCruise software updates with another 35,000 in process,” Ford said.
