The chargers are installed in urban areas with more than 5,000 inhabitants, and on major roads throughout the country, creating the highest concentration of DC chargers in Europe.

Installation of the rapid chargers is due to be completed by the end of 2014. When complete, a total of 74 rapid chargers will have been installed, covering more than 1,100 km (684 miles) of major trunk routes and providing EV-friendly links to five seaports and five international airports.
