But when people talk about payback, they refer only to the net dollars to the driver. Dont PHEVs just shift pollution from gasoline cars to power plants? Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) is the concept of using stored energy in a plug-in hybrids (or electric cars) battery to send power to the electrical grid when necessary.

Shifted earlier focus to all-electric Focus in 2011 with Magna. Company says its focusing on gasoline and hydrogen. todays answer is "Yes -- but not yet."
