Initial sales of the 2014 Cadillac ELR extended range electric luxury coupe ( earlier post ) will begin in January in all major US metropolitan areas. The 2014 ELR has a starting price of $75,995, including a $995 destination charge but excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees. Official EPA estimates are not yet available.

Ford has boosted the range of the Standard Range battery models to a range of 250 miles for the Rear-Wheel-Drive powertrain, according to EPA estimates, while the e-All-Wheel-Drive (eAWD) will have 226 miles. Instead, it qualifies for $3,750 in potential credits.

The list of electric vehicles qualified for the EV tax credit in calendar year 2024 has been released. Also of note: No Rivian electric truck qualifies for the full $7,500 tax credit amount in 2024, at this time. The credit amount on these models has fallen to $3,750. And as expected, it’s very short.

Chevrolet rolled out the fleet-specific electric 4WT Work Truck, off-road Trail Boss, and loaded RST trims first, available as of spring 2023, but will unveil additional mid-range trims later. The Work Truck, while lacking many of the pricier trims’ cool features, features 510 horsepower and an EPA-estimated 450 miles of range.
