Velozzi, a Los Angeles-based car designer and manufacturer, will integrate Capstone Turbine’s C65 and C30 microturbines into its electric supercar and a crossover vehicle, respectively. According to Velozzi, the cars will operate on 100% battery power in zero-emissions mode for a range of up to 200 miles. Dror Ben David.

The A3 e-tron BEV pilot program will run in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Denver markets throughout the year and provide actionable feedback and telematics data to Audi engineering teams in the US and Germany. The Audi A3 e-tron can be recharged in about nine hours with a 230-volt household socket.

Honda Sees PHEVs as having "unnecessary fuel engine and fuel tank;" promises all-electrics "assuming we can come up with a really high-performing battery that we are working on currently."

Last week, at the Model S unveiling in Los Angeles, Tesla revealed that an optional “ QuickCharg e &# battery would get a full charge in 45 minutes from a 480V outlet. For the standard version, Tesla plans to use a battery that can recharge at a typical 220V outlet in about four hours. I asked Mike Omotoso, J.D.
