DOE selects 9 universities for about $2.7M in advanced coal technologies research awards

The US Department of Energy (DOE) has selected nine universities for awards for research projects that will continue to support innovation and development of advanced, lower emission coal technologies. The study will research new steels capable of operating at 760 °C in the aggressive environments of AUSC boilers and steam turbines.
