Electrify America selected Long Beach and the Wilmington neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles as its second “Green City” investment. The Green City investment is part of Electrify America’s commitment to invest $800 million in California over ten years.

The project will deploy 554 alternative fuel and hybrid electric vehicles and install 153 alternative fueling and electric vehicle charging stations throughout the Chicago region. The initiative also includes garbage trucks, also known as refuse collection vehicles. Total DOE award: $14,999,927.

They’re replacing hydraulic cylinders with electric actuators. Every one of the major OEMs is launching an electric truck series. Garbage trucks.
