The Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards require that vehicles offered for sale in the US attain an average fuel economy of 40.3 to 41 mpg by 2021 and 48.7 mpg by 2025. Among powertrains, gasoline hybrids ranked first at either price point, while diesel internal-combustion engines were the least preferred.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. Reply ↓ ↑ report 8 Roger Smith 3:45PM (4/25/2009) Why do they even sell the Gas ver of the car in the states the Diesel ver just makes more sense it gets almost twice the mileage of the petrol ver. o well I guess they think all yanks hate diesels. and 49 mpg.
