Modern lithium-titanate batteries are used as energy storage devices in the electric buses. We are now replacing diesel buses with electric ones and preparing the necessary infrastructure. 2021 the city Government refused to purchase diesel buses. The temperature range of its work is from -40 to +40 degrees Celsius.

The city plans to purchase another 1600 electric buses over next few years, with the goal of replacing the diesel fleet. The KAMAZ 6282 electric bus is driven by two 125 kW ZF motors powered by 80 kWh lithium titanate (LTO) battery packs charged by ultra-fast charging stations using a pantograph.

The two ships, each with a capacity of 700 passengers, will replace existing diesel-powered vessels and will be used to transport passengers between Switzerland and France with projected completion dates of 2022 and 2023. Proterra’s EcoRide BE-35 battery electric bus ( earlier post ) is averaging up to 24 mpg (diesel equivalent) in service, a more than 600% improvement over a typical diesel bus. Three EcoRide BE-35 buses are currently in a test fleet near Pomona, Calif., Proterra Inc. later this year.
