Ford is cutting the prices on its entire F150 Lightning electric pickup truck lineup, with reductions ranging from $9,979 for the Pro to $6,079 for the top-of-the-line Platinum Extended Range. In addition, Ford Credit is offering eligible buyers interest rates as low as 1.9% APR for 36-months.

While the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Michigan, is being upgraded to help triple the production rate of the all-electric pickup to 150,000 annually this fall, Ford is aiming to reduce costs to compete with the various EV trucks that are on and are coming to the market. Participating Chevrolet dealers in seven key launch markets across Canada have begun taking orders for the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Volt, with an MSRP starting at C$41,545 (US$43,568). By the end of the year, more than 2,500 US dealers will receive a dedicated Volt demo. The Volt is clearly bringing new customers to our dealership.
