Where to locate public chargers?

Electric Auto Association

It is a fact not obvious to non-electric vehicle (EV) owners that every electrical outlet (110v, 220v, or DC fast 480v) is a potential refueling spot for EVs. Electricity is ubiquitous, EVs refuelable by wind, hydro, geothermal, solar, or traditional energy sources. Access both in and out should be easy, including for medium-duty EVs.

EV's and Indian Manufacturing: Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwaala | Visit to IIT Madras

Plug In India

Tesla has done a lot of engineering work in the cylindrical cells area, but it is unlikely that others are going to follow suit. In fact not only does he advocate 48 V DC in vehicles, he even wants 48 V DC in your homes! When you have windings on the inside, like you do in a hub motor, heat evacuation is difficult.

Udaipur to Himachal : 923 km in an electric car

Plug In India

A distance of 923 km using DC fast charging infrastructure. It was a dark desert highway, and there was cool wind in the hair. We used a constant power of 2-3 bar, did some wind-cheating and reached Jaipur in 2 hrs 45 minutes. Statiq was started by 3 young engineers - all from Manipal Institute of Technology.
