EIA: California home to almost half of US plug-in electric vehicles

California’s ZEV mandate requires automobile companies to produce for sale a certain percentage of zero emission vehicles, such as electric and hydrogen fuel cell. Georgia offers a zero emissions vehicle (ZEV) tax credit of 20% of the cost, up to $5,000.

DOE to invest $30M to further H2 and fuel cell technology as industry continues strong growth

2015 also saw the world’s first fuel cell vehicles for sale. To further this emerging market, DOE also announced a notice of intent ( DE-FOA-0001411 ) to invest $30 million, subject to appropriations, to advance fuel cell and hydrogen technologies. All of this points to a hydrogen and fuel cell market that continues to grow rapidly.

The governors of 8 states—California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont—have signed a memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) to take specific actions to put 3.3 The Task Force will prepare within six months a plan of action to accomplish the goals identified in the MoU.

8-state alliance releases action plan to put 3.3M ZEVs on their roads by 2025
