UK high-speed flywheel specialist Flybrid Systems is teaming up with Italian motorsport electronics specialist Magneti Marelli to work on a new energy storage solution for Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS). During acceleration the energy stored is then returned to the vehicle transforming the kinetic energy into electrical energy.
