Ford says the engine can deliver up to 15% better fuel economy than comparable six-cylinder engines. Featuring a twin-scroll turbocharger and a three-port integrated exhaust manifold (IEM), the 2.3-liter Ford specifically engineered the 2.3-liter liter EcoBoost gasoline turbocharged direct injection (GTDI) four-cylinder unit.
