The EVer (Electric Vehicle extended range) powertrain of the Fisker Karma. The company, which began deliveries of the Fisker Karma luxury four-door extended range electric sedan in December 2011, also said that it has delivered 1,000 vehicles to customers in the US and Europe. 2012 Fisker Karma.

Revealed as a design prototype, the Fisker Atlantic is a luxury four-door sporting sedan using the second generation EVer (Electric Vehicle with extended range) technology. Its four-cylinder gasoline engine, which acts as a generator and is not mechanically connected to the wheels, is tuned to offer maximum economy and high torque.

Sales of plug-in cars are steady, but not overwhelming. Fisker is delivering the Karma, but not without glitches and its DOE loan is being questioned. It may not be exactly the electric car you want - with more range, or more space, or more leather - but it is a pretty great car powered by electricity. Aptera went under.

Henrik Fisker revealed his plans to shake-up the electric SUV category with the all-new, all-electric Ocean. The 2023 Fisker Ocean will offer electric car buyers choices, although most of the specs are estimates at this point. It’s going to make this an exciting time for consumers wanting to go electric. The Volt is, and always has been, more than than an electric car. GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year.
