Both the Land Cruiser and Hilux will join the Proace family of light commercial vehicles in being compatible with HVO100 diesel. HVO100 fuel pumps are becoming more common at filling stations in Europe, with around 1,000 already in use across Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.

With more than 550 electric taxis on European roads, Nissan is now Europe’s best-selling manufacturer of 100% electric taxis. During 2015, more than 100 electric vehicles were delivered to taxi companies across Europe.

The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) has published new data demonstrating the correlation between the market uptake of electrically-chargeable vehicles (ECVs) and both GDP and customer incentives. Five EU member states don’t offer any incentives at all: Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Malta and Poland.
