V2G helps solve the major problem that demand for electricity is high during the day when everything from industrial plants to air conditioning is running full blast and then excess electricity is wasted at night. So while my car is powering the great city during the day how will I have juice to drive home at the end of the day?

Volt like hybrids are the intermediate future between hydrogen or fast charging electric cars. We should have built more Nuclear power plants and created a nuclear waste recycling program. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. So I think its a safe bet for GM.
