Pricing for the highly-anticipated BYD Sealion 6 plug-in hybrid medium SUV will start at $48,990 plus on-road costs for the entry-level front-wheel drive Dynamic. The Sealion 6 is the first ICE -powered and CO2-emitting vehicle to be sold by the Chinese brand in Australia and is expected to be its top seller. Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.

While BEVs were a hot item last month, jumping 81%, to a record 407.000 units, PHEVs were even hooter, shooting 205% in December, allowing them to end the year with 31% of plugin sales, up 5% from the 26% of 2019, giving credit to those that say that PHEVs will still be around for a while. In addition to a recent electric car deal with NISSAN Motors ( NSANY ), Portland General Electric, the Oregon state governor and GE have also announced a joint venture with Mitsubishi Motors ( MMTOF.PK ) to develop and sell the Miev electric car with 85 mile range by 2011.
