IEA finds CO2 emissions flat for third straight year even as global economy grew in 2016

The overall increase in the world’s nuclear net capacity last year was the highest since 1993, with new reactors coming online in China, the United States, South Korea, India, Russia and Pakistan. Five new nuclear reactors were connected to the grid in China, increasing its nuclear generation by 25%.
