The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of grant funding to implement projects which reduce emissions from the nation’s existing fleet of older diesel engines. Applicants may apply until 16 March 2021. Applicants must request funding from the EPA regional office which covers the geographic project location.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $8 million to communities in 21 states and Puerto Rico to reduce emissions from the nation’s existing fleet of diesel engines through the agency’s Diesel Emission Reduction Act ( DERA ) program. EPA estimates that every $1 in DERA funding generates up to $13 in health care savings.

US Hybrid has unveiled a zero-emission Class 8 fuel cell port drayage truck featuring its PEM fuel cell system during the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo at the Long Beach Convention Center. US Hybrid plans to expand its Connecticut production facility via a partnership with China-based Jiangsu Dewei Advanced Materials.
