Annual use of an EV should be less than the average cost of $8,000 per year for using a gasoline in many countries including the USA. So while my car is powering the great city during the day how will I have juice to drive home at the end of the day? Pre-paid 600 kilometer cards are one approach that is suggested.

A couple of drawbacks to consider might be the capitalization costs of building these stations and the batteries that they would have to have in stock. ↓ ↑ report 16 Vlad 10:25AM (4/10/2009) I dont think that home-charging is even a question and that it will be universally available soon. Battery swapping has its critics.
