It was one of the first batches; has not given him significant maintenance issues from the time it was purchased. The factory was quite clean. The parts are first taken through a pre cleaning process. Then you have a station where hand cleaning is done using Isopropyl alcohol. There are seven cleaning tanks for the frame.

Also maintenance on these (no oil changes to speak of) etc will cost much less than an internal combution propelled car. The fuel engine on the Volt is used to run the generator to recharge the battery when a trip exceeds 40 miles, and it’s rage on a full tank is around 400 miles.
